A business plan presentation turns a long written plan into a short deck that an investor, a bank or your own team can follow. Pick the deck that already covers most of your plan, then add single slides for whatever it leaves out.
We picked 9 business plan presentation templates from our library: 5 full pitch decks and 4 single slides to add to them. We read the 20 slides shown for each deck, and the table near the end shows which deck covers which part of your plan. All 9 open in PowerPoint and Keynote.
What a business plan deck needs to cover
- The problem and your solution. What's broken, and how you fix it.
- The market. How many people or companies could buy, and how many you can reach first.
- The business model. What you sell, and how it makes money.
- The competition. Who else sells it, and why buyers will pick you.
- The team. Who is doing the work.
- The numbers. Your traction so far, and your financial projections.
5 pitch decks, slide by slide
Terracotta and dark blue: the full plan
Start here if your deck has to follow your written plan section by section. Its contents list Product, Objectives, Market and Competition, Strategy and Operations. You get a Problem slide with three rows, a Solution slide with three orange boxes, and a Business Model slide that runs from market size to fees to revenue.
It's the only deck of the five with Financial Statements and Financial Projections slides. It also has a Competitor Market grid, a list of Competitive Advantages, a three-person Team slide and the Buyer Persona page pictured here, with a portrait beside an orange text box.
Blue and light yellow: problem, traction and roadmap
This one suits a startup with early users to show. Its contents slide lists 13 parts, starting with The Problem and The Utopia and ending with The Team and Future Roadmap. Three problems sit in blue columns, three solutions answer them on The Utopia slide, and the slide pictured here sets three direct rivals beside three indirect ones.
It also has two Traction slides, a stacked bar chart and a ring chart. Market Size prints three boxes for total addressable market, target market and market share. There's no financial slide, so add one from the single slides below.
Red and light pink: market and customers
Try this deck when most of your plan is about who will buy. It opens with a Summary slide of four cards: Founded, Team, Revenue and User Growth. Target Segmentation splits buyers into Geographic, Demographic, Psychographic and Behavior, and two Buyer Persona slides give each sample customer a biography and goals.
Market Size prints four growing circles, from Share Market up to Market Opportunity. It closes with Acquisition Strategy, Now vs Post Launch bar charts and a two-plan Pricing Model.
Teal blue: six numbered sections
This deck breaks the talk into six numbered sections, each with a big divider slide: Executive Summary, Objectives, Market, Buyer Persona, Acquisition Channels and Pricing. The tall bold headings are easy to follow on a large screen.
The Market section holds a Target Market slide with a photo and a large percentage, a Market Size slide with four numbered circles, and a Competitor Analysis map that places three rivals and Your Solution on two axes.
Blueberry and vermilion: numbers first
Choose this one for a plan built on numbers you already track. Two full KPI Dashboard slides hold line charts, bar charts, a monthly table and a ring chart, and bright blue section pages like this Acquisition Channel one keep the talk in clear parts.
Market Size shows four overlapping bubbles, and Competitor Analysis compares three brands on paired bars. Acquisition Strategy runs five arrows from Hunters and Visitors through Leads and Customers to Advocates.
4 single slides to add to your deck
Four of the five decks have no financial slide, and three have no team slide. The first two slides here cover those parts, and the last two sum up the plan as a whole. Recolor any of them to match the deck you chose.
Financial projections
A tall orange bar chart sits with two smaller ones and a large sample percentage. The terracotta deck already has this slide, so use it with one of the other four, and rewrite the arrow labels, which are sample text.
The team
Three photos sit in blue frames, with a name and a co-founder role under each. The blue and light yellow deck already has this slide, so add it to one of the three decks with no team slide.
An agenda wheel for the whole plan
Six numbered segments, labeled Summary, Target, Competitors, HR, Plan and Financial Projections, circle a man carrying a briefcase. Open with it so your audience sees the whole plan before you start.
Four topics on one slide
Four numbered columns carry Strategy, Feasibility, Opportunity and Financing, each with a gray box for your notes. Use it as a one-slide summary at the start or end of your talk.
Which deck covers which part of your plan
We matched the slide titles printed in each deck to the parts of a business plan. A check means the deck has at least one slide for that part.

How to build your presentation
Write the plan before you open a deck, then pick your deck from the table. Delete every slide your plan has no use for, so the talk stays short.
None of the decks has a slide for the amount you're raising. Copy the Market Size slide, retitle it, and put three things on it: how much you need, what you'll spend it on and what it gets you. Make it your last slide before Thank You.
Last, swap every sample number, name and photo for your own, so nothing from the template reaches your audience.
