Process for Candidates to US Presidential Election Politics Infographic Template
How is a US president chosen? A presidential election infographic lays out five steps from top to bottom, so you can follow each stage of the process in order.
What's on the infographic
- A red, white and blue title that reads Process for Candidates to US Presidential Election
- Five steps: Parties Choose Candidates, Appoint Electors, The Public Vote, The Elector's Vote and Congress Declares the Winner
- A short paragraph under each step and a flat icon beside it, such as a podium, a ballot and a microphone
- Stars and a light blue background, with a website line at the bottom
Civics and social studies teachers can use it in an election unit. You might also print it for a library display or share it with a class before a mock vote.
The five steps zigzag down the page. Each heading sits beside a red or blue bar, with its paragraph under it and a drawing on the other side. The first step sits on the left, the next on the right, and so on down the page. Read each printed paragraph before you share the page, and adjust the wording to your class level. If you add a step, copy one block and keep the zigzag going. The icons use the same colors as the title, so keep any new drawing in those colors. Put your own site or school name in the website line at the bottom.
You can edit the text and icons in PowerPoint, Keynote or Illustrator.
