Three types of biodiversity fill one tall page of the biodiversity infographic. Each type gets a printed definition and three round drawings, set on bands that switch between beige and sage green.

What's on the infographic

  • A Biodiversity title over a short opening paragraph, then a Types of Biodiversity band
  • Genetic diversity, shown with blue, gold and red butterflies
  • Species diversity, shown with an elephant, a lion and a toucan
  • Ecological diversity, shown with cacti, a tree with roots in water and desert dunes under the sun
  • A sage footer strip with a placeholder web address you replace

The definitions are printed text, and your science lesson can take them as they stand. You could hand it out before a field trip or pin it on your classroom wall. The tall shape also reads well on a phone.

Read the opening paragraph and the three definitions first. Keep them, or rewrite them at the level your students read. Each type has its own band and its own set of round drawings, so you can change one band without moving the others. Want to use local animals? Swap the elephant or the toucan for a creature your class knows from home. The butterflies show how one kind of animal can vary, so keep them together. Last, put your school site or your name in the sage footer.

Rewrite the text and swap colors in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides.
